OK, a quattro badge on a DKW Munga (though I prefer to think of it as a Manga)

Advanced readers will be able to work out the connection.

DKW is represented as one of the 4 rings of Audi, what did I win? :D

Nothing.

Must try harder.

Easy enough. The Munga eventually evolved into the Volkswagen Type 183, better known as Iltis. It was an Iltis that gave Audi the idea to pursue the concept of AWD on a high-performance road car. The rest is history.

And, the Munga was also based on a car platform (namely, whatever the hell DKW was calling their car platform at the time - I think it was the Auto Union 1000 at that point?), and based on a longitudinal FWD driveline. IIRC, the Iltis’s driveline was also based on Audi’s longitudinal FWD drivelines, but still.

I can’t find anywhere that sells this, I might have to make it myself.

It gets even more interesting once you get to the Mercedes-Benz era of Auto Union (which wasn’t really a union after the war).
